From grease-stained notebooks to EV diagnostics—how our family-run workshop is embracing the future of motoring!
At many workshops, change is something that happens slowly. But at Marjac Automotive, we’ve always believed in moving with the times—without losing sight of where we’ve come from.
Our workshop on the sunshine coast started like many others. A family business built on honest work, a love of engines, and a loyal community of customers. For decades, we’ve proudly serviced Aussie-built classics, V8 muscle, and hardworking family cars.
But as cars changed, we knew we had to change too.
Today’s vehicles are more than just machines—they’re advanced networks of sensors, computers, and software. From electric vehicles (EVs) to hybrids, and even late-model petrol cars with autonomous safety features, the game has shifted. And we’re not just keeping up—we’re staying ahead.
When hybrid cars first hit Australian roads, many mechanics turned them away. Not us.
We didn’t do it because we had to. We did it because our customers deserve the confidence that we can service whatever they drive—now and into the future.
We still love rebuilding a carburettor or tuning a 308. Classic cars and muscle vehicles remain a big part of what we do—and we’re proud of that heritage.
But we also know that the next generation of customers is arriving in plug-in hybrids, electric SUVs, and tech-packed sedans. So when your Tesla, Corolla Hybrid, or turbocharged hatchback needs attention, we’re ready.
Our team is trained and equipped to work with:
Technology isn’t the only thing we’ve upgraded.
We’ve also constantly improve how we serve our customers—digitally and personally. From SMS reminders and online booking to clear service reports and transparent pricing, we’ve brought our old-school service into the modern age.
But some things haven’t changed—and never will:
Because while tools and technology have evolved, trust is still the most important thing in our workshop.
At Marjac Automotive, we don’t just fix cars—we build relationships that last generations. Some of our customers now bring in the grandchildren of the cars we first serviced. And now, whether it’s a Monaro, a Mazda3, or a Model Y, we have the expertise to look after it properly.
We’re proof that a workshop with family values and a love of engines can adapt, thrive, and lead in an industry that never stops changing.
