Modern Cars. Modern Workshop. How We've Transformed to Stay Ahead

From grease-stained notebooks to EV diagnostics—how our family-run workshop is embracing the future of motoring!

At many workshops, change is something that happens slowly. But at Marjac Automotive, we’ve always believed in moving with the times—without losing sight of where we’ve come from.

Our workshop on the sunshine coast started like many others. A family business built on honest work, a love of engines, and a loyal community of customers. For decades, we’ve proudly serviced Aussie-built classics, V8 muscle, and hardworking family cars.

But as cars changed, we knew we had to change too.

Today’s vehicles are more than just machines—they’re advanced networks of sensors, computers, and software. From electric vehicles (EVs) to hybrids, and even late-model petrol cars with autonomous safety features, the game has shifted. And we’re not just keeping up—we’re staying ahead.

Adapting with Purpose, Not Pressure

When hybrid cars first hit Australian roads, many mechanics turned them away. Not us.

  • Upgrading our workshop with advanced diagnostics equipment
  • Undertaking manufacturer-aligned training for EV and hybrid systems
  • Becoming certified under the Repco Authorised Service NexDrive program
  • Creating processes that align with digital servicing and warranty requirements

We didn’t do it because we had to. We did it because our customers deserve the confidence that we can service whatever they drive—now and into the future.

From V8s to EVs—We Service Them All

We still love rebuilding a carburettor or tuning a 308. Classic cars and muscle vehicles remain a big part of what we do—and we’re proud of that heritage.
But we also know that the next generation of customers is arriving in plug-in hybrids, electric SUVs, and tech-packed sedans. So when your Tesla, Corolla Hybrid, or turbocharged hatchback needs attention, we’re ready.

Our team is trained and equipped to work with:

  • High-voltage battery systems
  • Regenerative braking and thermal management
  • ADAS (autonomous driver assist systems) recalibration
  • Software diagnostics and ECU updates
  • Logbook servicing that protects your new car warranty

Modern Workshop. Same Trusted Service.

Technology isn’t the only thing we’ve upgraded.
We’ve also constantly improve how we serve our customers—digitally and personally. From SMS reminders and online booking to clear service reports and transparent pricing, we’ve brought our old-school service into the modern age.
But some things haven’t changed—and never will:

  • You’ll still talk to real people when you call.
  • We’ll still take the time to explain what your car needs and why.
  • You’ll always get honest advice, not upsells.

Because while tools and technology have evolved, trust is still the most important thing in our workshop.

Looking Ahead with Confidence

At Marjac Automotive, we don’t just fix cars—we build relationships that last generations. Some of our customers now bring in the grandchildren of the cars we first serviced. And now, whether it’s a Monaro, a Mazda3, or a Model Y, we have the expertise to look after it properly.
We’re proof that a workshop with family values and a love of engines can adapt, thrive, and lead in an industry that never stops changing.
